The first step to training a family protection dog is making sure that you have the right dog for the job. Not every dog is a good choice for protection work. Just like not every person is built to be a Navy Seal. We will help you find and test the perfect dog for the job.
This is where the protection dog is made. Through diligent training we will help make sure your dog is confident, safe, and stable. This is when the power is being built alongside perfect control.
This is when we test the dog. Training in a wide variety of situations and environments. No protection dog is complete until they have been shown countless situations.
This is the first step in the defensive process. The alert command signals your dog to bark at a particular target. This warning is the first level of determent. This cue is on the handler's command.
This is the Protection Phase. When warning and alerts have failed, your dog's training will not. From this point on it is time for your dog to do their job. It is incredibly important that your dog bites hard, cleanly, and with intent.
The fight is over; your family is safe. On a single verbal command from the owner only, you must be able to have your dog release from the bite and safely recall away. This behavior is a must have for every protection dog.
A protection dog without control is nothing more than a liability. Being able to use obedience at a moment's notice is a must. This takes hard work and dedication from the handler.
Not everyone is a threat. If you can't take your dog out on outings or safely have family over the dogs training has failed. We expect your dog to be safe around family, while also being ready to stop a threat at a moments notice.
Knowing that your dog is truly ready to protect you brings a certain calmness. Not wondering if your training will work and hoping for the best. Your best friend can't be turned against you or your family.
You as the handler are the brain of the operation. It is your sole job to decide when your dog alerts. bites and makes decisions.
